Last Thursday I attended the Humane Society’s Cool vs. Cruel awards ceremony on a star-studded evening at the Bowery Hotel in Manhattan. The night honored Art Institute student Valeria Krasavina, winner of the Cool vs. Cruel competition for her avant-garde take on a cruelty-free alternative to a fur coat (see competition rules here).
